If you file for divorce in Polk County, you will be required to try to resolve your differences through mediation. In the mediation process, a third party neutral works together with you and your spouse to help you find ways to amicably resolve your differences. If the mediation is successful, both parties sign an agreement and present it to the judge for approval. If the mediation fails, you may take your case to court.
I can help you prepare for mediation, so that you know what to expect and that you are prepared to protect your interests. If you decide to resolve your disputes through trial, I will protect your interests there as well.
